1. Who runs Thesis
Thesis is a private beta project operated by Eddie Miners. It is designed to help students and aspiring finance professionals build an evidence-based forecasting track record.
2. Information Thesis collects
During the beta, Thesis may collect:
- Email address and authentication activity.
- Profile details such as name, university and degree, if provided.
- Forecasts, probabilities, reasoning, affected indicators, timestamps and version history.
- Track record, leaderboard and scoring data generated by your activity.
- Basic technical logs used to keep the service reliable and secure.
3. How the information is used
Thesis uses this information to operate the beta, authenticate users, create immutable forecast records, calculate performance, show leaderboards, moderate misuse, diagnose technical problems and improve the product.
4. Forecast visibility
The product is built around accountable forecasting. Your submitted positions, reasoning versions, score, profile name and leaderboard position may be visible to other beta users or people you share your record with. Do not include confidential, sensitive or highly personal information in forecast reasoning.
5. Service providers
Thesis relies on trusted providers for hosting, database, email authentication, diagnostics and AI-assisted question drafting. These providers process data only as needed to support the service.
6. AI-generated question drafts
Thesis may use OpenAI to draft forecast questions for moderator review. AI drafts do not become live questions until reviewed and approved. User forecasts and profile data are not used to provide personalised investment advice.
7. Retention and removal
You can ask for your account to be reviewed or removed. Some immutable forecast records may need to be retained, anonymised or preserved to protect scoring integrity, moderation decisions and the audit trail.
8. Contact
During private beta, contact Eddie through the beta invite channel, LinkedIn or your society contact. A dedicated support address will be added before a wider public launch.
